Buying signals, objections and the hot seat

Handling Objections And Live Q&A

The call goes well until you give the price. Then the objection arrives, the confidence goes, and the instinct is to drop the number to save the deal. This bootcamp session prepares you for that moment in three live hours. It covers buying signals, the objections that follow your price, rapport under pressure, and live hot seat drills on real deals. The session is for digital marketing and software development agencies.

Why deals are lost after the price

Session Overview

Many deals an agency loses are not lost at the start of the call. They are lost after the price, when the buyer pushes back and the owner, keen not to lose the work, starts negotiating against themselves. Often the owner pitched before understanding the buyer. So when the objection came, there was nothing to support the price.

This session is built on the closing method, one of the program’s named frameworks. Its aim is a discovery call that ends in a decision. It starts with buying signals: reading where a deal really stands, and diagnosing before you prescribe. Then it covers the objections that arrive after your price, and the objection handling frameworks that help you hold it.

Next it covers rapport under pressure, so a hard question does not turn the call into a negotiation. It closes with live hot seat drills and an open floor on the deals in your own pipeline. You practise on real deals, not on theory.

It is taught by experienced trainers including Hamid Mahmood, Asim Naeem and Umair Amjad. You leave having practised the moment that usually costs the deal.

What changes on the call
  • Pitching before you understand

    Diagnosing before you prescribe

  • Dropping the price at the first objection

    Holding it through the objection

  • Theory you forget on the call

Drills on a live hot seat

What You Will Be Able To Do After This Session

What you can do the day after the session that you could not do before it.

  1. 01Read the buying signals that tell you where a deal really stands
  2. 02Hold a discovery call that ends in a decision, with the closing method
  3. 03Handle the objections that arrive after your price without dropping it
  4. 04Keep rapport when the buyer puts you under pressure
  5. 05Take a live deal from your own pipeline through the hot seat
Bring a live deal to the open floor
  • A deal that stalled after the price
  • The objection you keep hearing
  • A proposal still waiting for an answer

The session closes on an open floor, where owners bring live deals from their own pipelines. The more real the deal you bring, the more you take away.

Here is how the three hours get you there.

Then

After the price

What it covers

  • Objection handling frameworks
  • The objections that arrive after your price

To close

The hot seat and the open floor

What it covers

  • Live hot seat drills
  • An open floor on live deals in your pipeline
  • Questions from the group

The work after the session

Live Implementation And Homework

The session ends on your own deals, and you use it on your next pricing call. The homework is small on purpose: one assignment, not a long worksheet.

  1. 1

Apply it to your own pipeline

A small assignment after the session, done on the deals you are working on, not on an example.

  2. 2

Post it to the topic thread

Post your questions, and how your next call went, to this session’s Q&A thread. The coaches and the cohort answer there.

  3. 3

Bring the next deal to the roundtable

In the mastermind, two hand picked owners take the hot seat at the roundtable in the third week of the month. Each gets about 45 minutes on a deal like this.

What we ask of you

  • Attend live. Attendance is the first thing the programme measures.
  • Do the work between sessions, not only watch.
  • Ask in the thread, and help the others.

Questions about this session

FAQs

Will you give us objection scripts?

The session focuses on handling objections live, in drills and on real deals, not on lines to read. What you take away is the ability to hold a price through the objection on your own calls. A script on its own does not give you that.

What is the hot seat?

The hot seat is a live drill. An owner puts a real deal or a hard objection on the table and works through it with the coaches and the cohort. The session closes with it, and with an open floor on deals in your own pipeline.

Can I bring a deal I am working on right now?

Yes, and it is the best way to use the session. The last part is an open floor on live deals from the owners’ own pipelines. Bring a deal that stalled after the price, the objection you keep hearing, or a proposal still waiting for an answer.

How does this connect to the mastermind roundtable?

They share the same hot seat idea. In the mastermind, the roundtable runs in the third week of the month, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Two hand picked owners take the hot seat there, about 45 minutes each. This session is the bootcamp version, focused on objections and closing.
