What Who We Coach Covers

Who We Coach helps you find coaching that fits your role, your business and the problem you want to solve. A freelancer forming a company needs different support from an owner whose agency has stopped growing. A sales head responsible for another company’s targets has different concerns again.

Each audience follows the same fifty two week sequence, with the same named methods taught the same way in every cohort. The audience pages explain which quarters matter most to you and which problems we commonly see at your stage. They also help you choose the programme that is worth paying for.

Each page describes the main bottlenecks, the quarter that addresses each one and what changes in the agency afterwards. It then helps you choose a single bootcamp session, the mastermind or a paid consultation hour. The lowest priced option may be the one that fits your problem.

What the people on these pages have in common

The Problems It Solves In A Digital Agency

Coaching addresses the client, revenue, pricing and team problems that agency owners, freelancers and managers often share.

  1. You worry about the next payment before you can plan the next quarter.
  2. A client has gone quiet, and you do not know why.
  3. You lose marketplace bids to somebody cheaper.
  4. You cannot keep the team busy, or cannot yet afford to grow it.
  5. You watch a US agency charge $150 an hour for work you deliver at $35.

And what they want, in the order they want it

  1. Predictable monthly revenue, without having to depend on separate projects.
  2. US, UK or Gulf clients who pay Western rates.
  3. A business that does not collapse when they take a week off.
  4. To be known, so interested clients contact them without needing to be chased.

The rate difference often brings people to coaching. The programme addresses the positioning, presence and packaging behind that difference, which can be taught. The priorities above also matter: owners want predictable revenue before higher rates. Being known comes last, even though marketing often receives most of their effort.

Choose the audience page that describes the problem you want to fix first.

Choose the services that clients buy from your firm.

  • Software houses

Custom development and product, selling into North America and Europe.

  • Digital marketing agencies

You compete on price and want clients to choose you for other reasons.

  • SEO agencies

You want retainer packages and a reliable way to contact potential clients.

  • Web development agencies

Moving from project work to recurring revenue.

  • Ecommerce agencies

You want to deliver more work and keep clients for longer.

Long sales cycles and high delivery cost.

If more than one page describes you, choose the one about the problem you want to fix first. Each audience follows the same programme, so you will still see the relevant coaching options.

How Coaching Is Delivered: Mastermind vs Bootcamp

The mastermind provides coaching across the year, while the bootcamp lets you study individual subjects through a shorter course. A paid consultation hour is also available when you need help with one problem.

  • The mastermind

$750 a month, or $7,999 for the year

    • Follow the full fifty two week sequence over twelve months.
    • Join a cohort capped at twenty agencies for the whole year.
    • Get one to one coaching with a subject matter expert, booked when you need it. The monthly roundtable is also included.
    • Use Basecamp, the members’ online workspace, every day. Attend a retreat every three months and an international trip each year.
  • The bootcamp

    From $125 a single session

    • Attend fourteen live sessions of three hours each.
    • Buy one session at a time, any six, or the whole cohort.
    • Get recordings for up to two partners.
    • Try the teaching through a shorter course before deciding whether you need more support.

Choose a single paid consultation hour if you need one to one help with a specific problem. You may be able to address it without committing to a course or a year of coaching.

Where This Sits In The 52 Week Roadmap

Every audience follows the same fifty two week roadmap. The audience pages explain which quarters address their most pressing problems, so you can see where your needs fit within the year.

  1. Digital agency ownersQuarters one, two and fourPricing packages, documented delivery, the final pricing review.
  2. Freelancers going agencyQuarters one, two and threeThe agency site, staffing, then internal and external contracts.
  3. Upwork and marketplaceQuarters one, two and fourRecurring packages, the search roadmap and the portfolio collection.
  4. C level executivesQuarters three and fourDepartmental reporting, job levels, the performance review.
  5. Sales and BD headsQuarters one, two and threeOutreach automation, closing training, employee retention.
  6. Software housesQuarters one, two and fourThe ideal client profile (ICP), niche, international expos and the case study collection.

The ICP and niche appear across several audience pages because many people have not yet chosen their buyer and market. Clarifying those choices helps address the other problems they came to coaching to solve.

How the book supports the coaching

Book Chapters That Back This

The book supports this coaching by helping you understand yourself, choose a market and decide which buyers to serve. It starts with who you are before considering what you sell.

  1. Knowing oneself

Owners can build a business around an inaccurate view of themselves and become exhausted doing work that does not suit them.

You build the business around who you actually are.

  2. Calculated markets

Wanting international clients is not enough to choose a market. You can spend effort targeting places where clients will not pay enough.

You choose where to sell on evidence.

  3. Choosing a niche

When you try to sell everything to everyone, buyers struggle to see why they should choose you over a cheaper provider.

You make it clear why a particular buyer should choose you.

The year is built on 7-Figure Agency Mindset A-Z, by Hamid Mahmood. These topics describe problems the book addresses and the changes it argues you can make by dealing with them directly.

The questions people bring to coaching

Who This Is For: Agency Owners, Freelancers, C Level

This coaching is for agency owners, freelancers building a company and professionals moving into or managing agency work. The book describes the starting points below, each with a different question.

  1. A freelancer who has mastered the craft

  2. A professional leaving a job for an agency

What do I not know that I do not know?

  3. An owner stuck well below their ability

Why has this stopped growing, and is it me?

    Read that page
