7-Figure Agency Mindset A-Z

Most agency owners grow by instinct and stall without knowing why. 7-Figure Agency Mindset A-Z is that progression written down: 460 pages, thirty chapters across five sections, by an operator who moved through every stage of it in his own companies first. The mastermind is this book, implemented over 52 weeks.

Overview

Program Overview

It is the operating manual Hamid Mahmood wrote out of running his own agencies, rather than a book about agencies written from the outside. Software Pro, HTML Pro, Ethical Pro, Ecom Pro and Ettvi are current companies with more than seventy five staff across New York and Lahore, and the chapters came out of decisions those companies had to make.

The structure follows the order the work actually happens in. Section 1 settles who you are and who you sell to before a single system gets built. Section 2 puts hierarchy, process and numbers underneath the agency so it stops depending on you. Section 3 is the scaling work: SEO, sales, funnels, pricing and proof. Section 4 is the part most agency books skip, which is what kind of leader the company needs once it is bigger than one person. Section 5 plans the decade after.

Chapters are short and each one stops where a decision has to be made. That is deliberate. The book was written to be worked through rather than read once, which is why every chapter carries a worksheet and a quarter of the roadmap where it gets done.

The weighting tells you what it thinks matters. Nine of the thirty chapters sit under branding and positioning, more than sales and lead generation together, and that is the argument in miniature: the agencies stuck under seven figures are rarely short of leads. They are indistinguishable from whoever else is quoting. Systems takes five chapters, team and hiring four, exit three.

Who it is written for

Who It Is For

It is written for the owners of digital marketing and software development agencies, and it assumes you are already running the thing. It does not stop to explain what a retainer is.

Written for

  • Owners who have the skill and none of the structure
  • Agencies selling into the US, the UK and the Gulf from outside them
  • Anyone whose month still starts at zero
  • Senior freelancers about to hire the first two people

Where the book hands over

  • One lead generation channel, taught live and in depth. That is the bootcamp, one channel a session.See the sessions
  • The deadline. A book cannot ask you for the worksheet on Friday, which is the whole job of the room. How the year runs

Naming where it stops is the fastest way to be believed about what it does.

It was written for the market its author sells in. Most readers run an agency from Pakistan and sell into the United States, the United Kingdom and the Gulf, which is the same route Software Pro and Ecom Development NYC already run. So entity setup, banking, contracts and what a buyer in each of those markets expects are treated as ordinary agency problems rather than as an appendix on going international.

The gap those readers are closing is arithmetic rather than skill. A US agency charges several times what the same work bills for in Lahore, and the difference is positioning, presence and packaging. All three are chapters in this book.

How it is delivered

Delivery Format And Time Commitment

Every chapter has a quarter of the mastermind year where it stops being reading and becomes work with a deadline. Here is what each quarter puts to work.

The first quarter builds your agency website from Section 1, so the branding, trust and website chapters land together, alongside the niche, the markets you work in and the focus that holds them. The site that comes out of it carries the brand decisions those chapters make.

Seven chapters land in the first quarter, which is front loaded on purpose: the foundation work comes first so everything after it has something to sit on. The second quarter puts six to work, the third seven, and the fourth ten, including the plan for the ten years after the programme ends.

Around them sits the rest of the year: the opening questionnaire, the monthly roundtables, the retreats every three months and the final reviews of pricing, branding and lead generation that close the last quarter. The book sets the syllabus. The roadmap sets the timetable.

  1. A page for every chapterThirty pages, each with what the chapter covers, its takeaways in plain English, and the coaching pages that go deeper on the same subject.
  2. The worksheets from the back of the bookEach one labelled with the quarter of the mastermind year it belongs to, so a sheet has a place in the year rather than sitting in a folder waiting for a gap in the diary.
  3. The quarter each chapter is implementedThe mapping from the mastermind roadmap, so a chapter is never just a thing you read. It has a place in the year.
  4. The coaching silo behind each chapterEvery chapter points at the coaching track that covers the same ground in depth, from sales and lead generation through to exit.

All of which is worth exactly as much as the person who wrote it.

The author

Coaches And Subject Matter Experts

Hamid Mahmood is an agency growth consultant, ranked third at Ceorankings.com, and the founder of Software Pro, HTML Pro and Ecom Development NYC. He is a development partner to more than a hundred North American agencies and has delivered over two thousand projects across teams in New York and Lahore.

The book is the ladder he climbed, in the order he climbed it. HTML Pro sold sites at fixed prices, which meant high volume and thin margin and a lot of selling. Shopify Pro moved to monthly retainers, and the predictable revenue changed the business. Software Pro sold teams rather than projects and went from hourly to a partner model. Each of those moves is a chapter here, argued by the person who paid for the lesson.

He is also honest about the pace. The community of roughly fourteen thousand agency owners took three to four years and fifteen minutes a day answering comments, and he spoke to rooms of ten long before he spoke to rooms of hundreds. In the mastermind the book is taught by experienced trainers including Hamid Mahmood, Asim Naeem and Umair Amjad, and Hamid takes the Friday session himself, which is the part that does not scale and the reason the room is capped at twenty.

Questions about the book

FAQs

Do I need the book to join the mastermind?

No. The mastermind teaches the material across the year, a quarter at a time, and Hamid takes the Friday session himself, so nothing depends on having read ahead. Members who have read it tend to arrive with sharper questions, which is the only difference the reading makes to how the year runs.

What is the difference between the book and the bootcamp?

The book is the whole agency, thirty chapters from positioning through to exit. The bootcamp is lead generation only, fourteen live sessions of three hours, one channel each. If your bottleneck is a single channel, the bootcamp is the faster answer.

Are the chapter pages the same as the book?

No. Each page carries what that chapter of 7-Figure Agency Mindset A-Z covers, its takeaways in plain English, the worksheet that goes with it and the quarter of the mastermind year that implements it. They are a guide to the material rather than the text itself.

Where do the worksheets come from?

They are the worksheets printed at the back of the book, published here as downloads. Each one is labelled with the quarter of the roadmap it belongs to, so a worksheet has a place in the year rather than sitting in a folder waiting for a gap in the diary.

Which chapter should I read first?

Chapter 1, even when the problem that brought you here is in Section 3. The scaling chapters assume the positioning work in Section 1 is settled, so reading them first tends to produce a better funnel selling a thing nobody can tell apart from the agency next door.
